Sharing Light, Truth, and Joy in Somerset County, PA
At Kinsmen Electric, we use our skills to give back through community outreach and our annual Christmas light-up event. Each year, we partner with local businesses to spread holiday cheer, share the LIGHT of truth, and celebrate the Gospel message. From lighting a 25-foot Christmas tree to hosting festive activities, we’re proud to make the season brighter for everyone.
What better way for an electrical company to utilize its skills and expertise than to sponsor a Christmas light-up show during the holidays?
Kinsmen Electric looks forward every year to community outreach and spreading the holiday cheer with the LIGHT of truth and the message of the Gospel at Christmas. It continues to grow each year as other businesses and vendors join to make the night even better.
Each year, Kinsmen Electric teams up with STS Arborists to locate and acquire a live 25-foot Christmas tree for the event. With the assistance of Penelec and the members of the Sipesville Fire Department, the teams prepare the placement of the tree at the crossroads of Sipesville. That is the easy part. Then, Kinsmen Electric decorates and lights the tree with strands upon strands of LED lights and colorful decorations. It’s a labor of love, but well worth it.
The celebration begins when community members and vendors flood the town square with Kettle popcorn, hot chocolate, cookies, Skinny’s BBQ, music, bonfires, and horse and carriage rides.
